ChemPlantMatch

You need a campaign run. Here is what you get, and what it costs.

Finding a tolling unit usually means calling brokers, taking a list of names on trust and spending weeks discovering that half the plants cannot run your chemistry. This is the same market with the guesswork taken out: verified plants publish their real specifications, a person checks the fit before anyone is introduced, and the only thing you ever pay us is a success fee on a campaign that was actually completed.

Both need an account, which is free. Searching does not.

Two ways in

Use whichever suits how well-defined the job is. Most people who know the process they need start from search; most people with a spec sheet and a deadline post the requirement.

  • Search the listings yourself

Filter by unit operation, reactor material, capacity in KL, batch size, certifications, hazard handling, industry and district. Every plate is the plant’s own technical specification, published under an alias. If a plate fits, send the enquiry from it.

  • Or post the requirement and let the desk look

Describe the process, the chemistry, the quantity and the timeline, attach a spec sheet or MSDS if you have one, and our desk goes through the verified units and proposes specific matches with a note on why each one fits. You see anonymised cards and pick.

What our desk does for you

This is the part a directory does not do, and it is the reason your enquiry does not arrive at the plant as a cold email.

  • Reads your enquiry and checks it against what the unit can genuinely run — reactor material against your chemistry, capacity against your batch, hazard class against your process.
  • Comes back with questions before anyone is introduced, in a thread on your enquiry, rather than passing a half-formed requirement to a plant.
  • Writes the brief the unit sees. It carries your requirement and the numbers you stated; it does not carry your company name or contact details.
  • Takes the same requirement to other units if this one declines, and tells you where it stands.
  • Stays on the case after the introduction: the message threads, the tracked work order, and the flags you raise all come to a person.

We will not promise you a turnaround time we cannot hold for every enquiry. What we will promise is that you can always see where a case stands: the stage, the last activity, and what happens next, in plain words, on the enquiry’s own page.

What signing the acknowledgement means

When a unit says yes, our desk asks you to sign one short document before the identities are exchanged. You sign by typing your name; the signed PDF lands in your account. In plain terms, you are agreeing to three things.

Keep the details to yourself
The unit’s name, contacts and plant details are for evaluating and running this work — inside your company, with the people who need them. Not for building a supplier list to share or sell. That runs for 3 years, and the unit owes you the same.
Run this business through us
For 24 months, toll manufacturing business with this unit that arose from this introduction is recorded on the platform. If you already had a documented relationship with the unit before we introduced you, that is outside the clause — tell our desk when you see the name and we record it.
Your success fee
2 percent of the invoiced value of each completed work order from this introduction, exclusive of GST — the rate is printed in the document you sign. Nothing is owed until a work order completes, and we invoice you separately for it, payable within 30 days.

One acknowledgement introduces you to one unit for one enquiry. It is not a general introduction to the network, and it does not reveal any other unit you have enquired with. The full plain-language version of the non-circumvention commitment is on its own page, and the terms are worth reading before you sign, not after.

What tracking looks like once work starts

After the introduction you deal with the unit directly — visit the site, run a trial batch if the chemistry needs one, agree commercials. When you place the campaign, our desk opens a work order with its own reference number, and both of you work off the same timeline.

  • The unit posts an update at each step — accepted, materials received, trial batch, in production, quality check, packed, dispatched — with a photo and the date it expects to reach the next one.
  • Dispatch cannot be posted without the LR or e-way bill reference, so “it has left the plant” always comes with the document number.
  • You can acknowledge an update, or raise a flag. A flag notifies our desk, stays on the record both sides can see, and a person works it with you.
  • The order completes when you confirm receipt. If no flag has been raised within 10 days of the dispatch, the platform treats it as complete instead — raising a flag pauses that clock and restarts it when the flag is resolved. The unit cannot close its own job by declaring it done, and neither can we.

Being straight about the edges: we are an introducer and a mediator, not a party to the manufacturing contract you sign with the unit. We can mediate, keep the record and put the history in front of both sides. We cannot adjudicate a commercial dispute, and we do not hold your money — no escrow, no payment rail. There are no ratings or public reviews on the platform yet either; the track record you see is built from completed work orders, which is a harder number to fake.

What it costs you

Searching costs nothing. Posting a requirement costs nothing. Enquiring, the qualification work our desk does, and the introduction itself cost nothing. An enquiry that goes nowhere and a trial batch that does not become a campaign cost nothing.

When a work order completes, you pay us a success fee: a percentage of its invoiced value, exclusive of GST. The standard rate is 2 percent, platform rates lie between 1 and 5 percent, and the rate that binds you is the one printed in the acknowledgement you sign. The unit pays a success fee of its own on the same completed work order, at the rate in its agreement. We invoice each side separately, with GST as applicable, payable within 30 days.

What you pay the unit for the tolling itself is between you and the unit. It never passes through us and we take no cut of it.
