One fee, both sides, only when work completes
ChemPlantMatch charges a success fee to the client and to the manufacturer, each at the rate in the document that side signed. It is the only thing either side pays us, and it is owed on nothing until a work order is completed. This page explains what is free, what the fee is, when it falls due, and what it looks like on a real order.
What is free
All of the following costs nothing, on both sides, and not as a launch offer or a trial tier. Neither side pays us anything until a work order completes.
- Searching and browsing every listing, with no account at all.
- Creating an account, and posting a requirement with private attachments.
- Sending enquiries, and every message with our desk.
- The qualification work our desk does on an enquiry, however many questions it takes.
- The introduction itself, once both sides have signed.
- Publishing a listing as a unit, and editing it whenever your line changes.
- Receiving qualified leads as a unit, and declining any of them.
- The tracked work order, its timeline, and raising a flag when something is off.
An introduction that goes nowhere costs nothing. A trial batch that does not become a campaign costs nothing. Business that never came through us is not ours to charge on.
The success fee
Both parties to an introduction — the client and the manufacturer — pay a success fee: a percentage of the invoiced value of each completed work order that came from that introduction. The standard rate is 2 percent on each side, and that is the rate printed in both documents we ask you to sign. Platform rates lie between 1 and 5 percent.
What sets your rate
- The rate is printed in the document you sign — the platform agreement for a unit, the acknowledgement for a client — so you see the number before you commit to it.
- The rate for a specific job is recorded on that work order before the job starts, where you and our desk can both see it.
- A lower rate within the 1 to 5 percent band can be agreed with us in writing before a work order starts. It is never raised above the rate in the document you signed.
- If your document and a work order ever disagree, the document you signed is the one that binds.
What it is charged on, and how
The basis is the invoiced value of the completed work order, exclusive of GST. The two legs are calculated on that one figure, and each side is invoiced separately for its own fee, with GST as applicable. Each invoice is payable within 30 days. No payment moves through the platform in either direction: what the client pays the unit for the tolling itself is between the two of them, and we take no cut of it.
And on the orders after the first
Repeat business with a counterparty we introduced runs through the platform for 24 months from the introduction, so it is tracked here and the fee applies to it in the same way. After that period, the relationship is yours. If you already had a documented working relationship before we introduced you, that business is outside the clause entirely — tell our desk when you see the name and we record it then.
When it is due
Both fees fall due at the same moment: when the work order completes. Not at the introduction, not when the order is placed, not on dispatch. A work order completes by one of two routes.
The client confirms receipt
The unit posts the dispatch with its LR or e-way bill reference, the client confirms receipt on the work order, and the order is complete from that moment. This is the normal route and the fast one.
Or 10 days pass after dispatch with no flag raised
If nobody has raised a flag on the work order within 10 days of the recorded dispatch, the platform treats the order as complete. Silence after a delivery is acceptance, and a job that was finished months ago should not sit open because a confirmation was never clicked.
Raising a flag pauses that clock, and it starts again from the day the flag is resolved, so a real problem is never overtaken by the calendar. Our desk is told before an order is about to complete this way and can put it on hold, with the reason recorded on the timeline both sides can see.
However the order completes, both fees are recorded against it, and each side is invoiced its own.
A worked example
A client and a unit we introduced agree a first campaign, and the unit invoices ₹12,00,000. Say the agreed rate on each side is 2%. The campaign runs, the unit dispatches, the order completes. Here is the whole of it.
| Line | Amount | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| The campaign value the unit invoices the client | ₹12,00,000 | A first order placed after a ChemPlantMatch introduction. The unit invoices the client directly — this money never touches us. |
| The rate, if your agreed rate is the default | 2% | For this example only, and the same rate on each side. Your rate is whatever the document you signed says, within the 1 to 5 percent band, and the rate for a particular job is recorded on the work order before it starts. |
| The unit’s success fee to ChemPlantMatch | ₹24,000 | On our invoice to the unit, plus GST as applicable, payable within 30 days. |
| The client’s success fee to ChemPlantMatch | ₹24,000 | A separate invoice to the client, on the same completed work order, plus GST as applicable, payable within 30 days. |
| What ChemPlantMatch earns in total | ₹48,000 | Plus GST. Two invoices, one completed work order, nothing else — and nothing at all if the work never completes. |
What the unit keeps out of the ₹12,00,000, and what the campaign was worth to the client, are their own business and not ours. The figures above are everything we are part of.
What is not on this page
- No listing fee, no lead fee, no monthly plan. There is nothing to subscribe to today. We may later offer units a paid verified subscription; if we do, it will be published here first, and the free listing will stay free.
- No featured or promoted placement. Search ranks on relevance, verification and recency — you cannot buy your way up it.
- No cut of the toll fee and no escrow. We do not hold, route or handle the money between you and your counterparty.
Nothing to weigh up until there is a real enquiry
Looking costs nothing, listing costs nothing, and the fee only exists once a job has actually been done. If you want the exact wording, it is in the document we ask you to sign, and you see that before you sign it.
