About the Jhagadia cluster
GIDC Jhagadia lies east of Ankleshwar on the road towards Rajpipla, in Bharuch district. It was laid out later than the Ankleshwar phases and on larger plots, so its plants are on average newer and roomier: agrochemical technicals and intermediates, pharmaceutical intermediates and bulk drugs, specialty and fine chemicals, and a share of larger single-product units. Several companies that outgrew Ankleshwar built their second site here.
For toll manufacturing (job work) the estate offers what a crowded older estate cannot — modern multi-purpose blocks with capacity to spare, closed handling designed in rather than retrofitted, and utilities sized with headroom. It shares Ankleshwar’s highway and rail access and its supplier base, and has its own common effluent treatment plant, so a campaign here runs on the same logistics as one in Ankleshwar with a slightly longer drive from the station.
