Chemical packaging and filling on job work
For bulk material that has to leave in market packs — weighed, labelled and traceable — without building a packing hall.
Live listings
No verified unit lists Packaging capacity yet. Listings appear here the day our desk approves them, and the guide below is how we qualify one when it does.
Post your requirement and our broker desk looks for the capacity by hand, or list your own unit if you run one.
What packaging on job work involves
Packaging is bought as toll manufacturing (job work) at both ends of the chain: bulk product from a large plant repacked into drums, bags or IBCs for smaller customers, and finished formulations filled into the packs a market expects. Packing lines carry legal-metrology obligations, dangerous-goods packaging rules and labelling requirements that a chemical plant may not want to run for an occasional product.
Liquid lines fill drums and IBCs by weight, often under nitrogen for air-sensitive or odour-sensitive material; powder lines fill bags, boxes and fibre drums from hoppers with dust extraction. UN-approved packaging for hazardous goods, GHS labels and batch traceability are the compliance core, and warehousing until dispatch is often part of the service.
What to check before you send an enquiry
The questions our desk puts to a unit before it qualifies an enquiry for Packaging. A listing answers most of them; the trial batch answers the rest.
- Fill accuracy and calibration: weigh-fill systems with legal-metrology stamped scales and a check-weigh record per lot.
- Packaging compatibility: UN-approved drums, IBCs or bags for your hazard class, and material compatibility with your product.
- Nitrogen blanketing and closed filling for air-, moisture- or odour-sensitive products.
- Labelling: GHS-compliant labels, batch and expiry marking, and the artwork approval process.
- Traceability and storage: lot records linking bulk to packs, retained samples, and warehousing conditions until dispatch.
Where the capacity is
Packing capacity exists wherever product is made; Dahej and Vapi serve export cargo near ports, Tarapur and Ambernath the Mumbai market, Vatva the Ahmedabad formulators.
